Before T.I. and Tiny ended up getting arrested last night, Tip was getting it poppin’ in the studio with Pharrell. The above pic, snapped hours before the couple’s felony arrest, shows Skateboard P and the King of the South kicking it, most likely during a studio session for T.I.’s upcoming album King Uncaged.


Single Cover: & Nicki Minaj – ‘Check It Out’

Check It Out and Nicki Minaj show off their superhero swag on the cover of their joint single “Check It Out.” The song goes to iTunes tomorrow and has your first look at the comic book-inspired artwork. The pop tune, which will be included on Nicki’s debut album Pink Friday, samples The Buggles’ “Video Killed the Radio Star.” Listen to the mastered mix below.


Nicki Minaj to Perform at VMA Pre-Show

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards just got a shade pinker. Nicki Minaj, who was previously announced as a presenter during the award show, will give her first-ever televised solo performance at the 2010 VMA Pre-Show, where she will dazzle red carpet patrons with a live rendition of her No. 1 hit “Your Love.”

Brandy has already slipped into her dancing shoes in anticipation of her upcoming stint as a contestant during the 11th season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Pictured above with her dancing partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Bran’Nu gazes at an iPad in the dance studio before working up a hunger and heading over to Japanese eatery Katsuya for a team building dinner.

She might have to slow down on the extracurricular activities with Chmerkovskiy though. “Damn, he would make such a HOT boyfriend but let me just focus on dancing..SMH at,” the 31-year-old tweeted.

Ironically, Ms. Norwood claims to have two left feet, telling that she’s never been good at nailing choreography. “What people don’t understand is I have never been a good dancer!” Brandy said. “Dancing has never been one of my strongest points. With this show, you have to do things you’ve never done before, and I’ve never done anything like this. It’s a whole new experience!”

The new season of “DWTS” is set to premiere Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
