Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj to Perform at VMA Pre-Show

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards just got a shade pinker. Nicki Minaj, who was previously announced as a presenter during the award show, will give her first-ever televised solo performance at the 2010 VMA Pre-Show, where she will dazzle red carpet patrons with a live rendition of her No. 1 hit “Your Love.”

“I am truly honored to be a part of this year’s VMAs. Just yesterday I was an underground female rapper. See Barbz? Dreams do come true,” stated Minaj.

Nicki will also launch a contest on her Twitter page where 10 fans will be able to nab tickets to see the Harajuku Barbie up close and personal. The contest will begin on Sept. 7, with the winners being announced on Sept. 10.

The pre-show, featuring MTV News correspondents Sway, Tim Kash, Suchin Pak, and Jim Cantiello, will air live from the red carpet outside of L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. Hosted by comedienne Chelsea Handler, the 27th annual event will feature performances from Eminem, Drake, Kanye West, Usher, Justin Bieber, B.o.B, and more.

@Song wats so funny about her performing at the Pre show ? Its good thats she gets to perform and even gets nominated for a category with No body (albumn)of work out yet and 2 singles. Lol you don’t see Dondria performing or nominated, or Trina, or Rasheeda who all realeased a albumn THIS YEAR.

Go ahead nicki do well this time. As a die hard lil kim fan it was difficult for me to look past the similarities but I give you credit for your desire to be a rapper. Lil Kim appears to be focused on being a multifaceted entertainer, Foxy is focused on being a trainwreck, Missy is a talented producer so the game needs you right now.
