Rap-Up.com || T.I. & Tiny Arrested for Drug Possession

T.I. has had a run-in with the law once again. The King of the South and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle have been arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Tip and Tiny for making an illegal U-turn while they were driving in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 1). After officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle, the couple was taken into custody in West Hollywood, Calif. They remained in custody as of press time and are scheduled to make an appearance at the Beverly Hills Municipal Court on Friday. Bail was set at $10,000.

Police stated that they discovered a controlled substance in the car, which, under California law, constitutes methamphetamines, ecstasy, and a form of codeine used in Sizzurp. Inside of T.I. and Tiny’s car were Styrofoam cups, the cup of choice for those who drink the popular Southern concoction, but cops are now claiming that they may have found X pills in the whip.

The Atlanta MC is currently on probation after pleading guilty to weapons charges. He served seven months behind bars at a Federal Correction Institution in Arkansas last year.

T.I. and Tiny were married on July 30 and the rapper-turned-actor is fresh off the success of his film Takers, which debuted at No. 1 over the weekend.

Originally I hated rap music, but because of TI I began listening to it and now enjoy it. It’s just a shame that your giving all those haters of rap and hip hop a reason to talk. All of their preconceived negative opinions of rap is being seen in you. I thought that finally we had a positive rap role model, but I guess I was wrong. It is only legal for medical purposes and only under the recommendation of a licensed physician. Damn. T.I. is easily my favorite rapper and this shit here really saddens me because you know that he feels worse about this than anyone. We can all criticize his poor judgment but think about how hectic his thoughts are right now. I’ve spent a lot of time in jail and have been on probation for years now for multiple drug charges. I will say that I NEVER ride with anything in my car anymore because of my legal troubles and my family so I am disappointed that he would make that mistake. But what happens now? Man it doesn’t look good because it couldn’t have just been weed because in California a report will say “marijuana” specifically and this one states that it was a controlled substance. You can say weed is a controlled substance of course but they do make a distinction in Cali in regards to a police report. Even if it wasn’t Tiny’s, I would still expect my girl to take a first time offense rap for me as opposed to me catching my 8th felony charge as is the case for TIP. I live in Arkansas, and I would love to see him come back here, but shit not in this way. And I am sick and tired of people thinking that rappers need to be good role models. I love hip hop. But you can’t listen to, and let your kids listen to, music that talks about illegal activity and then get pissed when you find out that they weren’t bullshittin bout doing the shit they rap about. TIP will hold his head up no matter what, and that is what I like my son to emulate.

HE’S TOAST!!!!I just read a yahoo article about this and all the lawyers they interviewed say he’ll get a MULTIPLE-YEAR JAIL SENTENCE for this since this is a REPEATED offence, since they let him off the hook before. In fact, it’s worse for him because he’s a celebrity, cause now the courts are gonna be even harder on him. I don’t think Tiny will be in jail for long though. If he doesn’t test positive he won’t even violate, and he has the cash to buy something over the counter to defeat the test anyways. I’d put my money on free publicity.
