T.I. is in hot water after his arrest two nights ago in California, and Ne-Yo isn’t remaining silent about it. The “Beautiful Monster” singer says that Tip has had several chances to clean up his act, and that while he’s one of the smartest people in the music industry, he doesn’t really think things through.
“I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with,” he told The Associated Press, blaming the company he keeps on influencing his behavior. “Nine times out of 10 when he gets in trouble, it’s not him, it’s the people that he’s with.”
“You’ve been given a bunch of different chances,” he continued. “Now is the time to really go, you know I get it, all right, I get it.”
T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of drug possession after making an illegal U-turn in West Hollywood. Released on $10,000 bail, Tip is on three years probation from his weapons case after serving a stint in prison last year.

Ne-Yo is one of the few artists not afraid to speak his mind even if it offends his peers. These other artists will defend their peers, even if they committed murder. Kudos to Ne-Yo for not following the pack.

Regardless if Ne-Yo has something to say or not…say it to T.I. and not the Associate Press. I think that is messy as hell. Ne-Yo…you make some poor decisions yourself dude…like those earrings and those capri pants you have been photo’d rocking lately. Ne-Yo…get your own life together before you start talking about others! He without blemish cast the first stone…Ne-Yo you have more blemishes than a dalmation…don’t do it! I hope T.I. get on your helmet behind this. I’ll put all of my money on TIP!!!

It doesnt matter if he’s speaking the truth or not. IT IS NOT HIS BUSINESS!!!! He’s spoke on issues that have to do with other artists more than he has on the album he has coming out and that’s why his album has ZERO anticipation. He needs to worry about making music that’s actually good instead of commenting on stuff that has nothing to do with him. Neyo has now talked about Chris & Rihanna TWICE, said Usher’s album was bad and now he’s voiced his opinion on T.I. all in less than a month. All the while both of his singles have flopped on the charts so he needs to just STFU and STFD

THANK YOU NE-YO. You are about the only one in the music industry with sense. It’s evident in the way you dress and act, you are sophisticated, unlike those rapper/gangstas.

PREACH. It’s not like he ran screaming to the AP like “AYE LEMME TELL YOU WHAT I THINK ABOUT T.I.” — I’m sure they were talking to him about his album or something and since this is something big that happened in hip hop/r&b recently, they wanted his thoughts. He didn’t judge; he didn’t say T.I. was a bad person. He said his actions aren’t smart and they’re not, obviously, otherwise he wouldn’t have a rap sheet as long as his forearm.

@mr…who is being homophobic. If you can read, which it looks like you can’t…I did not say anything about that mans sexuality. I don’t know that man nor do I care. T.I. is a grown ass man. Whatever decision he cares to make…are his decisions and they should go without judgement! People make mistakes…including you, so get over it.

Its none of his business, besides he’s been arrested too so why is he talking. AND how do we know it was theirs? Other ppl were with them but TIP and Tiny were the only ones arrested. Why is that?

When people like ne-yo and other celebs put there self out there to stick up for him it makes them feel stupid. A smart person doesnt do this while on parole. I wont condone what he did ima fan of his but i wont support it. Fred s ur smart ass can support just plain stupid behavior but

To the people who say we shouldn’t judge him because it’s not our business, think about this. If he had, say, killed a person, should we not judge him and say his actions are wrong because it’s not our business. No. Whether he was asked about the situation or brought up the topic himself, I commend Ne-Yo for standing up and saying what needed to be said. Just because T.I. is a celebrity doesn’t mean no one can say anything about his situation. Being a rap role model of good behavior for young kids and having children of his own to take care of (plus, the fact that, not too long ago, he just got out of jail after 10 months), T.I. should have known better and got himself out of that situation. Tiny should have known better, too… If not for the kids that look up to him, then for their children. I consider myself a big fan of T.I., but he really disappointed me when I heard this story.

I agree with Ne-yo. Everyone looks at this situation and is like damn man, you have to learn how to stay out of trouble. Yeah the company he has around him has something to do with it, but you have control of YOUR life and you (T.I) are messing it up.
And it doesn’t have to be Ne-yo’s business. I bet if he was just saying “I hope he gets through this” then yall wouldn’t say he should mind his business. Thing is Ne-yo didn’t even diss T.I and yall acting like he went in on him.

Its not that what neyo is saying is wrong, cause hes not,its just the fact that hes always commenting to the media about others. If he feels that way about ti’s decisions he should tell him to his face or over the phone, like a real friend would.A real friend doesnt talk about u to others and tell others what u should do.They come to u and let u know how they feel about your situation and you as a person.

@MR…I would understand better if Ne-Yo was a friend of his or something to that effect. But I don’t think they are friends. As far as TIPS kids go, they will be fine and they may have already taken the steps to get over as you should! You on here talking about TIP and his family like you know them…HA! I am sure you have no clue! I hope Ne-Yo don’t get his ass whoooopped for talking out of the side of his neck. Usually thats what happens. Oooppss…wait would that be another mistake that you do no approve of MR? You silly kids…trick are for rabbits…HA!

lmfao, I’ve heard more about him talking about someone else than his new album in the past month. His album date is going to come and go without anyone noticing and he’s going to wish that he spoke more about his shit than others. Why is it his concern? No scratch that. What was the point of this? Shit tell us something that we don’t know.

I believe every one is entitled to their own say so. But the only thing I can say about Ne yo speaking out to the media, did Ne yo speak to T.i. about his choise, or Mrs. Tiny, if the anwser is no, then I think that you was wrong. Not about what you said, but about speaking to the people that you know will spin things to make ratings or whatever their negative motives are. Everyone need to stick together to help “US” move forward not keep us in the dark place that made or help us make that wrong move in this game of life.
