New Music: Shanell & Nicki Minaj – ‘Cupid’s Got a Gun’

Cupid's Got a Gun

Cupid swaps out arrows for something a bit more lethal on “Cupid’s Got a Gun,” where Young Money’s leading ladies get done dirty by the god of affection. Over a slithering instrumental care of New Orleans producer Chase N. Cashe, Shanell and Nicki realize that love is pain as their relationships spin out of control.

“Cupid’s got a gun/ Now who said he’s a lover?/ Really, he’s a murderer,” emotes Shanell. “Why he crush my heart?” asks Nicki. Who could possibly do these girls dirty like that?

    I believe either a mixtape that belongs to shanell or entire young money or shanell’s mixtape. Lil Chuckee also tweeted about having a new song with nicki on it called “Bride of Chuckee”. Maybe they are all coming out with mixtape or their own albums.

    I Love This, now it doesnt sound finshed at all but i like. sounds kinda like a Danity Kane track, and Nicki Minaj didnt do much so i dont understand how you could just like this song because of her but whatever.

    I like this song because of both of them !!! Nickis part was only like 6 Bars !! That sucks but I DID like it “Mann I should’ve known he was gonna do me dirt…….I’ma hit em wit a lamp, I’ma hit em wit a chair”. Haha it sounds like it was longer but for some reason whoever the producer was (I guess Chase N Chase ?) like sorta minimized the volume for the rest of her verse.
