Obama Adds Lil Wayne, Nas to His Playlist![]() It’s no secret that the President is a Jay-Z fan, but you might be surprised to hear who else he’s got on his iPod these days.
President Obama has expanded his musical selections. “My iPod now has about 2,000 songs, and it is a source of great pleasure to me,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I am probably still more heavily weighted toward the music of my childhood than I am the new stuff.” While Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane dominate his presidential picks, he’s also venturing further into hip-hop, adding tunes from Lil Wayne and Nas into rotation. “Thanks to Reggie [Love, the president's personal aide], my rap palate has greatly improved,” reveals the Commander-in-Chief. “Jay-Z used to be sort of what predominated, but now I’ve got a little Nas and a little Lil Wayne and some other stuff, but I would not claim to be an expert.” His daughters are also having an impact on their father’s musical tastes. “Malia and Sasha are now getting old enough to where they start hipping me to things. Music is still a great source of joy and occasional solace in the midst of what can be some difficult days.” We wonder what the President would think of Weezy’s latest Drake-assisted song “Gonorrhea.” TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 19 CommentsLeave a Reply

What a hypocrite…
So you support the harsh gun-control laws that got Weezy locked up, and you hiked the taxes to the level where Nas is in trouble, but yet all of a sudden try to say you’re cool…Yup, Bush was a snake in the road, but Obama’s a snake in the grass.
