Rap-Up.com || Kanye West Upset with Song Leaks, Calls Off G.O.O.D. Friday

Kanye West is not a happy camper. After a couple unfinished tracks from his upcoming album hit the net, Yeezy has responded by calling off this week’s G.O.O.D. Friday.

Following the unauthorized leaks of “Lost in the World” and “All of the Lights,” ‘Ye took to Twitter to vent his frustrations. “Due to blogs leaking unfinished songs from my album I’ve decided to pass [on] Good Fridays this week,” wrote the disappointed rapper. “It’s messed up that one hacker can mess everything up for everyone… I love to take a year to finish my songs and deliver them to you guys in [their] most completed form.”

Yeezy, who has released a free track each week over the past month as part of his G.O.O.D. Friday campaign, also lashed out at those responsible for the leaks. “It would have seemed like since I give free music every week even the lowest form of human being would respect that enough not to leak unifinished songs from my real album,” he tweeted.

West, who was in the studio with Soulja Boy and Kid Cudi last night, is preparing for his performance on this weekend’s “SNL” and wrapping his fifth album, due November 22. “We’ve got 4 engineers mixing the album to finish it as soon as possible,” he stated.

I’m with ‘Ye on this one (Well I’m always with ‘Ye regardless!) I mean it is fucked up how someone is responsible for leaking his songs especially,when he releases unfinished tracks from hisforthcoming album. If someone is that closed minded and can’t understand it’s wrong then,they should be crowned with ignorance. ‘Ye said let’s toast to the “Scumbags” & “Assholes!”

If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t Eminen’s last album ‘Recovery’ leaked online? and If I’m not mistaken, didn’t it sells like 700,000 copies in its first week?….Am I not right or am I wrong? , Artists always do that, release 2 to 4 good or capable songs and keep the rest of the crappy songs on the album under wrapped. when most of the times the songs and the videos released is where they really makes money from. They’re not the idiots we are! for buying into their craps, they makes fortunes out of us.

lets get things straight

@ponyo – he’s not making new tracks on a week to week basis, all the tracks he releases with the exception of power remix were made months beforehand.

@daniel from isreal – most of the good friday songs have been apsolute classics with unbelievable verses from nicki, pusha t, hov, kanye himself (on the power remix he went off at the end), and have featured amazing production.
and if you think Kanye will flop? even if he released a 18 track album, of nothing but him playing the harmonica, it would sell 500k, so the fact thats it’s a real album, its gunna get at least 700k in the first week.

I’m with Kanye here.He’s already producing 1 free Song a week,and yet people still leak unfinished Album stuff.That B*llshit!

And leaking unfinished Songs is even worse! I was so hyped for that “All Of The Lights”-Track and now that I’ve heard it (unfinished) I was a lil’ bit disappointed.

artists need to be more prepared about song leaks; hacking is what comes with the internet territory. but then again, it’s like, kanye west always has something to say, even when it’s not regarding his work (ie. swift). i like his work; what i dont like are his temper tamtrums. he always tryna throw a fit every week. it’s like, grow up- shit happens. learn the lesson & prevent it going forward.

Was loving the G.O.O.D Fridays. So Appalled had me looking forward to this week. Lots of good points made by the comments so far. Hacking going to happen but dont let that keep the G.O.O.D times from happening. Though its Ye’s right to stop it if he wants. Eventually these free tracks will be leaked anyway. Thats the life we in now. Sooner than later everyone wont be releasing albums anymore instead high priced singles on Itunes. People still buy music so it wont really hurt any target sales Ye is looking to acheive. As he is one and a few others in hip hop that can still have the commercial success and still stay true to the form that got them where they are today. Which is why no matter what he do, I have to at least listen. So November it is, the wait begins.

Btw, I like leakers. Lets me know whos albums to buy and who’s not. So no idiot here. :)
