Rap-Up.com || Eminem Leads 2010 American Music Awards Nominations

Eminem’s year keeps getting better and better. The rapper, along with country band Lady Antebellum, leads the nominations for the 2010 American Music Awards with five nods, it was announced today.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber, who grabs four nominations, will vie for Artist of the Year with Eminem, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry. B.o.B, Perry, Ke$ha, and Usher earn three apiece and Drake scores two nominations for his debut Thank Me Later.

Taio Cruz and Demi Lovato were on hand to announce the nominees this morning from the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE. Usher, P!nk, and Bon Jovi were also announced as performers for the 38th annual AMAs. Additional acts and presenters will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The live broadcast will take place at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on Sunday, November 21 (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC.

Something’s very wrong if Justin Beiber beats Eminem for Best Male Artist.

I think Em will win every category he’s in. He should because I believe bases the winner purely on record sales, and Recovery has put up amazing numbers. But the awards shows tend to be rather screwy so you never know.

On a different note… I think Lady Antebellum should win Best Group and B.o.B should win Best Breakthrough Artist. Their albums are both amazing.

Chris Brown and Rihanna for the R&B/Soul Artist wins. Their fanbases go harder than any of the other nominees, so they’ve got that on lock like it’s 2008. Usher will take home R&B Album. Sorry Trey… even in Brown’s most down year, he still trumps you all day, in circles, bruh!

Gaga for pop female artist of the year, Bieber will beat out Usher and Em’s fanbase.

Artist of the year will be Gaga.

The first two in the favorite R&B album award that I played on a road trip on July 29th, Sade and Usher’s albums, both got nominated! Usher’s album is great as well as Alicia Keys, but I believe the award will go to Sade–fabulous effort that’s already sold over a million copies in a few months!
