Those who were disappointed when Ciara didn’t appear on Usher’s “Hot Tottie” may be happy to know that she and her labelmate have recorded another collaboration. CiCi and Ursh trade verses on the dance floor-ready “Turn It Up” produced by T-Minus and penned by Ester Dean.

“Turn it so loud you can raise the dead/ Raise ‘em out of the grave,” sings Super C before Usher cues up, “Shake it up, shake it up/ I can’t help myself, I want you/ Put that booty on me.”

Ciara was going back to the basics with this album, but, as she has stated on numerous occasions, she’s also showin her growth as well. Why would she completely backtrack as an artist and try to completely duplicate her 2004 self???

Wtf are ya’ll complaining about. Some of ya’ll are so damn annoying! The song is ok first listen after a bit it is better. She needs some diversity on this album if she only comes with urban material this album will not do great.

She needs something for her fans that like her pop style music more. Fans of singles like 1,2 step, get up, love sex magic and some of her album songs. Ciara is a R&B/Pop singer always has been always will be she can’t let one dominate the other on her album if she does she will alienate haf her fanbase just like Fantasy Ride did.

She needs to get back in the studio with Lil jon and get some hits. None of her songs so far have made it into the top 40 on Billboard Hot 100 she needs that one Big record that will hold the rest of the album. Without a big hit song i doubt her album will sell above 100,000 first week. I know for sure Basic Instinct will do better than fantasy ride as far as first week sales but in the long term i dont think so.

@Keepin it 100 big hits mean nothing. She needs a consistent album with a mix of R&B songs with hip hop beats and Pop songs just like goodies and evolution were. People who actually buy albums want a consistent one they can listen to. Why do you think most of the people having every single hitting top ten can’t even go gold in 6 months. Most albums leak entirely a week or two before they are released which lets everyone hear each song if half or more is crap most won’t buy it they will just buy songs they like and save their money.

@Keepin It 100 I totally agree with you. I remember when “Goodies” came out and it was a massive hit and what brought ciara her big record sales. With this Basic Instinct album she needs to get that one song that will make people wanna go out and buy the album. “Gimme that” will not do that its already flopping on charts and her label will most likely choose another single before her album comes out.

if cici know wats best for her she wad release more of this kind of music. She needs to make pop music because the market she is catering after dont buy music. Yes Fantasy ride was mostly pop but they still somehow manage to release all the ghetto tracks, (go girl, never ever, work). The one pop record (love sex magic) was her only hit, that should tell her team something.

Not feeling it. It seems like she can’t outdo her first album. Everything I’ve heared from ‘Basic Instanct’ thus far has been very weak lyrically. I might buy a couple of songs off of iTunes but I won’t be copping the full album.
