Rap-Up.com || Video: Jazmine Sullivan Covers SWV

Jazmine Sullivan admitted she was nervous about opening up for the iconic Mary J. Blige at Wednesday night’s “Music Saved My Life” tour stop at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., but we couldn’t tell. The R&B songstress delivered a powerful cover of SWV’s 1993 hit “Weak.” She also performed “Holding You Down (Goin’ in Circles),” the first single from her sophomore album Love Me Back (due Nov. 30), mixed with Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison.” Watch Jaz bust a move below.

Still think JoJo sings it better than all others (http://youtube.com/watch?v=86kZ32hilfY) but that’s a pretty sick version of Weak from Jaz.

Nice job but I wish she would cover Phyllis Hyman’s “Living All Alone”. Those are the type of covers I think could put her on another level.
