Rap-Up.com || Eminem Tops MTV’s Hottest MCs 2010 List

After his much-talked-about no show on last year’s list, Eminem came back with a vengeance, topping MTV News’ Hottest MCs in the Game for 2010. Em displaced last year’s champ Jay-Z, while Kanye West, Drake, and Rick Ross rounded out the top 5. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj was the only female spitter representing on the male-dominated list, taking No. 6—just in front of her Young Money comrade Lil Wayne.

MTV News’ Hip-Hop Brain Trust selected the lyricists based on a combination of rhyme skill, flow, buzz, commercial success, business ventures, web presence, and cultural influence.

@Cooookies_ I 100% agree. I don’t think Kanye should have been on the list especially top 3! I was upset that he was ranked higher than drake. Kanye’s album isn’t even out yet and He just came back like three months ago! Also Lil Wayne should have been way higher than 7.

It makes sense except for flocka and ricky rosay. Kanye is at #3 for his cultural influence, production, and what he has done for the 5 months. Don’t let favoritism cloud your judgement. Cudi should be on here though because of the buzz he is getting and anticipation. I think wiz should be on here because he was the breakthrough mc of 2010 on mtv and has been getting heavy rotation.

Umm My list.. 1.) Eminem <- Honestly I think he is the best rapper ALLTIME. Peole say Tupac or Biggie but like they just wrote about gangster sht .. Em did all that when he was WHITE & MORE. this list is retarded..but personally this would be my list if they want to judge this year..

1.Eminem (I dont care what color he is or whatever he definetly deserves this spot especially the fact that he is still selling his music is still out there he been in this game for years after years and still remains the same person keeping his style he is not commericial like everyone else in hip-hop nowadays.And he definetly killed a couple of nowadays rappers on their on track (lil wayne and drake) he murdered it in drop the world and forever..

2.Kanye West (Personally I can’t name one garbage CD he made.Kanye West is a jackass but he is a great artist and the people that’s coming out these days definetly can’t top him.

3.Jay-Z (people say he shouldn’t be up there because he didn’t do anything,I dont care for Jay-Z but I feel the people in this game now definetly can’t pass him all these trash ass so called MC’s out yeah okay I rather leave Jay-Z right one number 3 and not for nothing Nicki Minaj is on this list and has no album out.
