Janet Jackson Takes New York at ‘For Colored Girls’ Premiere

Janet Jackson was beaming in a black blazer, long skirt, and short ‘do at the New York premiere of For Colored Girls on Monday night (Oct. 25). Janet plays Jo, a high-powered magazine executive, in Tyler Perry’s film based on the 1975 play by Ntozake Shange, which opens November 5. Her co-stars including Macy Gray, Thandie Newton, Phylicia Rashad, and Kerry Washington walked the carpet at Ziegfeld Theatre, while Ciara, Patti LaBelle, Estelle, and Fabolous rushed inside to catch a glimpse of the flick.
