« Kanye West Shows Off Album Packaging in Ustream SessionT.I. Addresses Skeptics, Calls ‘No Mercy’ His Best Work Yet »Shia LaBeouf to Direct Short Film for Kid Cudi’s ‘MANIAC’![]() With his sophomore effort Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager landing in stores next week, Kid Cudi is following in his mentor Kanye West’s footsteps by releasing a short film for album cut “MANIAC.”
Rapper Cage, who appears on the track with St. Vincent, reached out to his friend Shia LaBeouf to direct the clip, which he tweeted about earlier today. The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps actor previously directed Cage’s video for “I Never Knew You.” “Yes this is happening!” wrote Cage, while “Day ‘N’ Nite” producer Dot Da Genius tweeted “side project, we do what we want,” along with a picture of the rapper holding a folder for the treatment. Cudder appeared with Cage and St. Vincent last night on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” backed by the legendary Roots crew. ![]() [Photo via Dot Da Genius] TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 15 CommentsLeave a Reply

Best choice for film. Maybe next he’ll do one for “Trapped in My Mind”! And Shia will be the best!

so cudi DID use cage to get to shia! wondering why he’d recruit a nobody like cage to be on his song. cage was run out of the “real” rap scene years ago the same way vanilla ice was.
