With her mother and sisters by her side, a brave Toni Braxton went public with her battle with lupus, the autoimmune disease, at the 8th Annual Lupus L.A. Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (Nov. 16). It has not been an easy year for the Grammy-winning songstress, who recently filed for bankruptcy for a second time. But she remains strong despite the hardships.

“Had a great time at the 8th Annual Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon,” tweeted Toni. “A big moment for me. It was a tough decision to come out about it. But it was such a relief!”

ohhhhhhhhhh toni,be strong u know, its not easy one, i lost my aunty 5 years now bcoz of that, just keep seeing a doc,its the only way u will stay healthy ma……….luv ya
