Justin Bieber took home the coveted Artist of the Year trophy at Sunday’s American Music Awards and invited his mentor Usher on stage to share in the unforgettable moment.

“I got this opportunity really about a year-and-a-half ago and really was embraced by a man named Usher Raymond,” said the 16-year-old phenom. “I feel like he’s had such an amazing career and it would be only right if I invite him up to share it with me—not only my mentor, but my best friend and my big brother. I love you, man.”

The two embraced before Ursh tried to mess up the Biebs perfectly coiffed hair. Aww, how sweet.

This was a nice little video. I’m not a Bieber fan but it’s nice that he appreciates his upbringing in the music industry. But come on AMA’s, with Eminem and Lady Gaga being in the category for Artist of The Year as well, awarding it to Justin Bieber is a huge insult IMO. I feel like he’s just a fad. Once he hits 20 he’ll probably be irrelevant. Eminem and Lady Gaga are here to stay and have made a huge impact on the music industry this year.
