Alex Da Kid can now add Grammy nominee to his résumé. The super-producer picked up multiple nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, at last night’s nominations ceremony for his work on Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” and B.o.B’s “Airplanes.”
The 27-year-old Londoner, who toasted the news with sparkling apple cider, spoke with Rap-Up TV backstage about what the nods mean to him, how he plans to celebrate, and if he’ll be calling up Eminem, who recently gave him an undisclosed gift.
And what does Alex see in his future now that’s he part of the Grammy family? “Hopefully they’ll be more Grammys, more apple cider, more free alcohol, more ladies—just more showbiz,” he laughed.
