Rap-Up.com || Keri Hilson Gets Onboard Dr. Dre’s ‘Detox’

Dr. Dre is getting a dose of Keri Hilson for Detox. The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer paid a visit to the Doctor to contribute to his long-awaited project. Miss Keri shares what it was like to be in the studio with the hip-hop icon.

“Dr. Dre is incredible,” she exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “He’s somebody I always kind of thought, ‘Wow, I wonder what his method is. I wonder what it’s like to be in the room while he does what he does,’ and I got to see it.”

Keri saw herself in her legendary labelmate. “He’s very much a perfectionist and it kinda made me understand myself a little bit, why I’m so particular about certain things,” she reveals. “I saw myself in his light and it was great.”

While she confirms her work on Detox, she’s uncertain if the material will make the 2011 album’s final cut. “I don’t know. We’ll see.”

The first offering from Detox, the Snoop Dogg and Akon-assisted “Kush,” is currently No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Keri’s sophomore set No Boys Allowed drops Tuesday.

Pretty Girl Rock #45 on Billboard Hott 100. It is expect to go top 25 next thursday.

@ tyler that gud news for keri..most pplz said she’s will never appear on bb100 by herself but shyt she pass the top50 already now goin for a top 30 single dats not bad at all.i hope she makes it 2 top 10 atleast..

^^^ hopefully. This era has started off Waaay betta than In a perfect world

She is alread #333 on amazon top 1,000 in pre order sales. In a perfect world did not go into the top 1000 until the day of its release and No boys allowed is already 333 and this album has not even leaked yet. Her team is not playing. If she goes top 50 on amazon and to 5 on itunes and gets at least 50-60k album sales in stores then she will see R.kelly numbers of 125k-150k. But she has to at least do what i just said or better.

I believe Keri Hilson will do atleast 125k in first week sales atleast. Shes definately not going to flop though thats for sure.

I really hope that Keri does better this era than her previous, even though- in my opinion – IAPW era was amaazziinngg, one of the best ablums ever. So happy at the success of Pretty Girl Rock
