Rap-Up.com || Keri Hilson: Kanye West Can Do No Wrong

Kanye West has weathered his share of scrutiny, but Keri Hilson is standing by her friend through it all. The R&B diva explains why she believes the polarizing rapper deserves more respect.

The two collaborated on Keri’s hit single “Knock You Down” and ‘Ye recently remixed “Pretty Girl Rock.” “We have great chemistry. I love Kanye to death. He can really do no wrong in my eyes,” the songstress tells Rap-Up.com. “He’s very much the genius that he seems to be. I respect him so much musically, an incredible talent of our time. I think that a lot that he does kinda undercuts his creative efforts. I would like to see that change in a major way.”

Despite his questionable behavior in the past, Keri doesn’t feel that should overshadow his talent. “I hate when the media puts your personal life in a bigger light than your creative contributions to the industry,” she explains.

The feeling seems to be mutual as Kanye previously voiced his support for Miss Keri on Twitter. “Keri Hilson first album is one of my favorite RnB joints of all time,” he wrote. “This second album is super crazeee tooo truuust meeeeeeeee.”

I’ll be checking for Keri Hilson’s album. I’m actually interested in listening to her work this time around. The first time, i didn’t care for her at all. But I am intrigue to listen to her new album and will buy it this week.
