Rap-Up.com || Lil Wayne: ‘I Cannot Have Chris Brown Rapping on ‘Tha Carter IV”

Lil Wayne is feeling good about his contribution to Chris Brown’s latest single “Look at Me Now.” Weezy loves the song so much that he wanted it on his own album, but explains why it didn’t happen.

In his cover story for Rolling Stone, Wayne revealed that he considered keeping the track for himself, but there was one problem: “I cannot have Chris Brown rapping on Tha Carter IV,” he said.

And it’s not because he wasn’t feeling Breezy’s flow. “He ain’t sound bad. He’s spitting. But come on, man! Do you know how many rappers would be like, ‘I can’t get on Tha Carter IV, but this ni**a put Chris Brown on that bitch? Rapping?” shared the honest MC.

In the end, he decided to let the song remain on Chris’ upcoming album F.A.M.E. “You can’t take a ni**a’s song and take him off of it. That’s saying a whole lot. That’s like telling him, ‘I think this shit is hotter without you,’” admitted Weezy. “I would feel played if a ni**a did me that way.”

@ciara Is The Queen…Chris definitely didn’t flop as bad as ciara did. At least Graffiti sold more copies in it’s first week …ciara didn’t even touch that. She barely touched 50,000…when F.A.M.E comes out then start poppin’ off. On 2nd though you’ll still have no room to talk…cuz i ain’t ever seen someone flop like that WITH promotion like she got.

In my opinion I feel Chris Brown is young and doing better than most artists out there. I understand Lil Wayne, but at the same time he better stay tuned because Chris Brown is young and continually learning and so far he’s running circles around many with true gifted talent! I’m positive he could be better with some more years on him and for now I feel everything CB does is THE BEST :) Plus he makes me smile and no other artist does that for me!

As far as Chris Brown goes, if he’s good then he’s good. It shouldn’t matter what who he is. Isn’t Kanye West about to do a song with Justin Bieber? Lil Wayne see Chris as little brother, I didn’t take his comments negative. I think he mean’t there are other rappers trying to do collaborations with him for his new album and if he would’ve put Chris on the album that would’ve been a slap in the face of some veteran rappers because Chris is a singer. Chris just starting rapping on his album and he is getting better. I didn’t take Lil Wayne wrong, he has been working with Chris since his Gimmie that days.

Well, I am #TeamBreezy all day, and I am not offended nor do I see anything wrong with what Wayne said. CB and Wayne are cool, this is like the third time they have collaborated and I think they have a good realtionship. I am sure Wayne said it jokingly and meant no harm. CB wouldn’t be offended.
CB has a nice flow, he’s better than a lot of so called rappers out, but I do wish he would stick to singing. I don’t think that it should be a big deal if he was on the album, but it’s Wayne’s album so he makes the final decision. I don’t think CB is pressed, it’s his record so it will be his hit!
