Wiz Khalifa

Following the success of his platinum single “Black and Yellow,” Wiz Khalifa is bringing his Pittsburgh Steelers anthem to the football field as his home team faces off against the New York Jets. The Pittsburgh native has been tapped to open Sunday’s AFC Championship Game with a performance of the catchy tune, which will ring through Heinz Field before kickoff.

“I’ve always had that Pittsburgh pride,” explained Wiz. “I just wanted to let people know where I’m from and represent any way I can and what better way than through our colors. I took that hometown pride and put it in a song.”

The Taylor Gang leader is looking forward to seeing familiar faces in the crowd. “It’s gonna be crazy man. It’s gonna be really monumental to see everyone out there,” he said. “Knowing where I grew up and everyone rockin’ in the same place. This is the closest to being a Steeler that I’m gonna get.”
