Rap-Up.com || New Music Premiere: Rye Rye f/ Ciara

Rap-Up.com exclusive! Rye Rye demands a piece of that on the first offering from her upcoming mixtape RYEot PowRR. M.I.A.’s protégée remixes Ciara’s “Gimmie Dat,” reconfiguring the booming track into an even more club-friendly banger, complete with frenetic rhythms and spoken-word breakdowns.

“Work it out like pow pow/ I’ma get it like CiCi/ Shakin’ all my goodies/ I’ma break it down now/ Can you give me that sound now?/ I’ma put on my crown now,” chants the 20-year-old Baltimore MC, who also shot a viral video for her DJ Sega-produced remix.

Pump up the volume and look out for Rye Rye’s debut album Go! Pop! Bang!, coming early this year on N.E.E.T./Interscope Records.

i’m so pissed off Rye Rye she never keeps her release dates. I just know Go! Pop! Bang isn’t going to be released on Feb 22nd. And this mixtape probably come out in months time ahead. This song is ok. Honestly, i was expecting more after all this hype on twitter. I’ve always supported Rye Rye, but she really needs to fix up her album release date smh :( I do not hate i appreciate, but when its late, its hard to wait…

LOVE IT! I am also mad because of the release date for Go! Pop! Bang!. I don’t think I’ve ever known an album to get pushed back so many times. It’s disappointing. BUT I am a die hard fan, and will stick with her. Lol. And the mixtape, I sort of kne it wouldn’t drop on 1/22. At least this dropped! I want the video too!

Rye Rye has no control of her release dates. It’s obvious she wants the music released earlier than it has been pushed back to be. Labels do what they want to do, and often times the artists are the last to know. Even with the mixtape which she has finished, the label interfered. So by no means blame this on her.

yasss gimmie dat is a great urban sound, and with that whip my hair part, Rye Rye makes it perfect..! but i wish it could be a lil bit longer. it sounds like it wuz being suddenly stopped. great job though! =)
