Janelle Monáe taught fashion’s elite how to do the “Tightrope” while performing yesterday at the Etam fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The bouffant-sporting singer wore her signature black-and-white palette of clothing during the gig, working with a black scarf over a white dress shirt tucked into form-fitting tux pants.
The eccentric chanteuse also turned heads while arriving at the Pavillon Cambon for the Chanel haute couture fashion show earlier today, taking her getup to the next level by draping a black blazer over her white silk top.
“Today I see my first show in Paris! Chanel!! I have always admired Mademoiselle Chanel’s & Monsieur Karl Lagerfeld’s style. Timeless,” she tweeted. “Very inspiring day today. All thanks to my dear friend Karl Lagerfeld. Time to write some music now! Wow.”
