Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Falls in Love with Jessie J

Nicki Minaj caught British fever while in the U.K. for her European Pink Friday promo tour. But her love for England has honed in on Essex native Jessie J. After Jessie gushed to Rap-Up.com about wanting Nicki on one of her tracks, the Harajuku Barbie admitted that she’s fallen for the big-voiced Brit.

“I heard about Jessie J because she said in an interview that she wanted me on her single,” Nicki told the U.K.’s Daily Star. “I checked her out afterwards, and I fell in love with her, the tone of her voice and everything.”

The BRIT Award honoree previously told Rap-Up.com that she wanted the platinum rapper on the remix to her single “Do It Like a Dude,” but had trouble reaching her at first. “I tried to, but I think she’s a busy lady,” she explained. “I’d love to have her on my ‘Do It Like a Dude’ [remix] for the U.S., but I like to let things happen organically. I think if she likes it, it’ll happen.”

With Nicki showing interest in the 22-year-old singer, magic could happen when they cross paths at next month’s Grammy Awards. “I’m a huge fan of hers. I’m just gonna maybe bug her at the Grammys like, ‘Hi, we have the same hair.’ You never know. I’m just gonna keep an open mind and see what happens.”

I never heard of Jessie J until she mentioned Nicki Minaj. I research her song, “Do it like a dude.” I liked the song. It would be a great fit for Nicki Minaj but she must go in. No half stepping.
