Rap-Up TV: On Set of Kevin Cossom’s ‘Baby I Like It’ Video featuring Diddy

Kevin Cossom has made a name for himself writing hits for Keri Hilson (“Knock You Down”) and Young Jeezy (“Go Getta”). Now the singer-songwriter is stepping into the spotlight with his debut single “Baby I Like It” featuring Diddy and Fabolous. Rap-Up TV was on the Los Angeles set as K.C. shot the first music video from his debut album to be released on super-producer Danja’s N.A.R.S./Jive Records imprint.

“What we want to do is just capture the energy of the song. Light tricks, dancing, a lot of movement,” explained Kevin, who’s currently writing for Justin Bieber and Mary J. Blige. “The record is really high energy, club/futuristic, so in the video we just wanted to make sure that we complimented it.”

His mentor Danja jumped in to share what he saw in the rising star. “I [saw] a lot of presence in K.C. Just from first meeting him, I sensed that he was a little more than just a songwriter,” said the beatmaker.
