Although she caught flak for flubbing the lyrics to “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Sunday’s Super Bowl XLV, uncovered footage from Christina Aguilera’s rehearsal shows no signs of error. While practicing the National Anthem at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, the powerhouse performer gave a flawless rendition of the patriotic tune, so confident in her abilities that she walked off before finishing the song.
In a statement, the pop singer later explained the gaffe. “I got so lost in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” she said. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of it’s anthem still came through.”
Americans are always worried and mad at the wrong thing smh
Far more worse things in the world for ppl to be stressing & worried about than over a few words (that plenty of ppl don’t even know) she messed up on.
true. good to joke about for a bit and now that time has passed. its happened before by a bunch of different people and nobody’s bitched about it then. so why do it now. @ Rosewood & Yeah, you’re too many people are going off over the wrong thing
Of course she knows the words. She’s been singing it at professional games since she was about 12 and sang it so good at last year’s NBA Finals, that she was asked to sing it on Game 7 as well. She’s still one of the baddest vocalists around.

I don’t even know why she’s catching all this flack for one little mistake. It’s not the end of the world and she’s one of the greatest singers ever.
