While practicing the National Anthem at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, the powerhouse performer gave a flawless rendition of the patriotic tune, so confident in her abilities that she walked off before finishing the song.

In a statement, the pop singer later explained the gaffe. “I got so lost in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” she said. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of it’s anthem still came through.”
