New Music: M.I.A. – ‘Zig Zag’

M.I.A.

M.I.A. turns to ’80s chic on “Zig Zag,” a cut originally intended for her third album /\/\/\Y/\. Threading in the melody from New Kids on the Block’s “You’ve Got It (The Right Stuff),” the Sri Lankan mami spits over a squiggly electronic beat, keeping the rhythm moving as she bigs up her parents for making her the way she is. “Thanks to my mum and daddy/ Hot spicy like their curry/ Over there, toilet that way/ Run away if you can’t stand me,” she advises.     idk is it just be or after her main main stream sucess i really stopped likeing her as much as i did before like i was crazy for her now its like of she made another song.

    How can this song be from 2003, I don’t get it. This definitely doesn’t sound like that era, and you can hear the “sample if I may, from “Far Far” which was from 2007. And I dout b @mayaflyer is M.I.A. who knows
