Big Sean is keeping the world waiting to hear his highly-anticipated debut Finally Famous, but he is willing to shed some light on another top-secret project. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper revealed that his mentor Kanye West played him tracks off of his joint album with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne, and that fans should expect big things.

“I’ve heard a few songs off of it at least. Not the whole thing,” Sean told staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud. “It’s cold. Everybody’s going to love it, man. It’s Kanye and Jay-Z, you know. Expect nothing less than legendary. It’s dope to see two people collaborate like that.”

Though he was unable to give away any song titles, Sean was more than happy to share his opinion on ‘Ye, who both produces and raps on Finally Famous, recalling the first time he ever spit a rhyme for his mentor.

“It was the most nerve-wracking experience of my life. But you’ve got to man up, and that’s what separates the men from the boys. That’s what separates the men from the mice, and those are the defining moments that you’ve got to pull through and do what you’ve got to do,” he said. “Kanye is definitely on another level, just [for him] to even hear the potential of somebody as they rap for you.”

With his debut due May 3, Big Sean is more than ready to reveal who he truly is. “You can expect a story of somebody who realizes what they want to do in life and what young people go through, from falling in and out of love, partying, having fun, getting fucked up, and everywhere in between,” he said of Finally Famous. “This shit is what we been working for. We put in our work to get where we’re at.”
