50 Cent promoted his film Things Fall Apart during a press conference at the 2011 Miami International Film Festival on Saturday (March 5). The rapper-turned-actor lost 54 pounds to play a cancer-stricken football player in the drama, directed by actor Mario Van Peebles (pictured).

“My motivation for the project was my best friend, Charles Pringle,” 50 previously told Rap-Up.com of his transformation. “He lived across the street from me; he actually died of cancer.”
