Rap-Up.com || Video: Teairra Mari Hits the Studio with Rico Love

Rico Love hit the lab last week with Teairra Mari at Miami’s Circle House Studios for a Division 1 recording session. The beat artisan, who is executive producing the former Roc-A-Fella princess’ sophomore album, let the cameras roll as Teairra went in the booth to lay sultry vocals for her new single “That’s All Me” over the instrumental from Puff Daddy and the Family’s “It’s All About the Benjamins.”

Taking a break from belting it out, Mari shared her love for Rico and reminisced on her early days. “When I started recording, I remember I used to take like three days to do one song. I was 11 or 12 though,” she explained. “Now, I’m like, ‘Damn, I can knock out two or three a day.’ So it’s all going good. And with Rico, we really just move fast together.”

I love Tea-Tea! I have her debut album and all her mixtapes, she’s extremely talented too. “It’s All About the Benjamins” has always been one of my favorite songs and it’s nice to hear a female voice sing over such a hard track. Can’t wait to hear the song in full and finally get that sophomore album. She has really been on her grind.

Teairra needs original beats and material not a beat that was made back in the 90′s. She just needs songs that can put her in her own lane and finally get her a hit on the charts.
