Video: Diddy Joins Lil B and Odd Future Onstage at SXSW

Diddy hung out with the cool kids at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, over the weekend. The hip-hop mogul, wearing a “Cocaine & Caviar” T-shirt, introduced Lil B at the Fader Fort before surprising the audience with another performance from Odd Future.

“Both these last two acts are the future of the music industry,” announced Puff of the rising stars. “Make some noise for the future of the music industry.”

OFWGKTA’s Tyler, the Creator got hit in the face with a Mountain Dew bottle while performing “Sandwitches,” and stopped the music to find the person who threw it. “Man the f**k up right now,” he said, but no one came forward.

Watch them bum rush the stage and see Diddy do the “O Let’s Do It (Remix)” and “Mo Money Mo Problems” below.

I WANT TO KNOW THEM SO THAT I CAN GIVE THEM A FAIR SHOT. SO WHAT ARE THEY ALL ABOUT?

NO DISRESPECT, BUT WHAT DO THEY DO? I MEAN, I WANT TO GIVE THEM A FAIR SHOT, AND NOT JUDGE THEM OFF OF THEIR OUTRAGEOUS, TOTALLY RIDICULOUS, DISRESPECTFUL COMMENTS, BUT WHAT IS THEIR MUSIC ABOUT? I KNOW IT’S NOT CONSIDERED “POPULAR” AND IT’S “DIFFERENT” BUT REALLY, WHAT ARE THEY ABOUT? THEY SEEM TO BE VERY IMMATURE AND RUDE. PEOPLE THAT ACT LIKE THAT DON’T SEEM TO LAST LONG IN THE INDUSTRY, ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A LABEL. THEY HAVE A BUZZ BUT FRANK OCEAN IS THE ONE THAT’S WORKING WITH BEYONCE SO IT’S CLEAR WHO’S GOING SOMEWHERE OUT OF THIS CLIQUE.

TYLER, THE CREATOR, SEEMS TO JUST BE A BIG MOUTH THAT’LL BE KNOCKED DOWN A FEW NOTCHES SOON. ERYKAH BADU MAKES GREAT MUSIC BUT SHE’S NOT DISRESPECTFUL LIKE THAT. SERIOUSLY, PUFF LETTING SOMEONE KNOW WHO THE FUTURE OF MUSIC IS? HE HAS CASSIE SIGNED TO HIS LABEL. ENOUGH SAID. HE BROKE UP DANITY KANE (TWO PLATINUM #1 ALBUMS) FOR DIRTY MONEY, ENOUGH SAID. JUDGING BY HIS MUSIC AND TRACK RECORD, I WOULDN’T TAKE THAT TOO SERIOUS.

WE NO LONGER HEAR CRAP FROM KANYE SO ODD FUTURE BETTER LOOK AT THAT. BUT, WITH THAT BEING SAID, WHAT’S THE STORY WITH THEIR MUSIC?

  8. IKNOWTHETRUTH

WHAT EXACTLY DOES ODD FUTURE REPRESENT? LET’S NOT FORGET, KANYE WEST WAS A BIG MOUTH RIGHT UP UNTIL HIS CAREER GOT THAT BIG ASS BACKLASH AND HE’S VERY WELL ESTABLISHED.

BECAUSE HE’S HEADED NOWHERE FAST WITH AN ATTITUDE LIKE HIS. NO ONE IN THE INDUSTRY IS GOING TO TOLERATE CRAP LIKE THAT NO MATTER HOW IN DEMAND OR TALENTED A PERSON IS. THEY ALL LOOK HIGH AND AS IF THEY NEED BATHS.

    HipHopDiva Reply:

@IKNOWTHETRUTH, check out their mixtapes maybe. They’ve been doing this since 2008… they are musicians, songwriters and very talented rappers. They remind me of a new generation NWA meets Wu-Tang, when it comes to the raw rap and lyrics. Tyler the Creator admires Kanye so I wouldn’t take it to the heart. They are entertainers…

as soon as he said f*ck church, I stopped it. i dont understand why u have to act crazy to be taken seriously for your talents. your talent is not how u act, its what you are saying….unless u are entertainer. and wth is diddy doing…
