Snoop Dogg gets a dose of G.O.O.D. Music on “Eyez Closed” featuring Kanye West and John Legend. The electric guitar-ripped track, which previously leaked to the web without Snoop’s verses, boasts lyrics where he questions his mortality before passing it off to Yeezy.
“I done came from a long path, only God knows how long left the Dogg has/ ‘Cause lifetime, we all pass, so if you ever taste success, just pray it’s from a tall glass,” advises Uncle Snoop.
Open your eyes to the cut from the Doggumentary, in stores next Tuesday.
@O_O, he used it in the BET Cipher, Kanye is an amazing artist, he’s my favorite artist, but i’ll admit that he’s terrible at freestyling, like if you listen to most of his freestyles they’re usually just verse from songs that aren’t released yet, he used his second verse from “Gorgeous” in the Funk Flex freestyle before MBDTF was release.
@no, Hey used it in the BET cipher, but the song was already made on a MixTape he did called “Eyes Closed” its floating around online, im sure you will find it, its pretty good!
@Jay, i mean i heard the song when it was unfinished, i don’t think i listened to all of it though. This is pretty good, i just wish it was a more of a Ye featuring Snoop dogg kind of song, Snoop’s fallen pretty hard lyrically, he should have just had one verse.
There’s a version of this leaking out with two Kanye verses and no snoop, that’s the version I’m rocking with. I like Snoop, but he’s not as good as he once was
