Rap-Up.com || Beyoncé Cuts Management Ties with Father

Beyoncé and her father are going their separate ways. The superstar will no longer be managed by her father Mathew Knowles, it was announced today.

The Grammy-winning singer’s publicist released a statement to The Associated Press revealing that Beyoncé and Mathew have split “on a business level.” While they may no longer have a professional relationship, a grateful Beyoncé added, “He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly.”

Knowles managed his daughter since the start of her career as a member of Destiny’s Child and through her three solo albums. She is currently working on her fourth studio album, but new management has not been announced.

Her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams previously split from Knowles to pursue solo careers.

I hope it’s for the best, I’m not a fan of artist having their parents manage them. However, i think Beyonce & Matthew worked good as a team, look how much he pushed her, and look at where she is now. Umm, I was going to comment on Beyonce but now that I see so many Beyonce fans dissing Aaliyah for whatever reason, I have no choice but to go in Bey. When Aaliyah passed away, all her movie roles were given to Beyonce, Jessica Alba and Roasrio Dawson. We all know Aaliyah had filmed her parts as Zee in the Martrix 2 & 3, but alot of people don’t know that Aaliyah was chosen as the lead in 5 movies: Austin Powers in Goldmember, Fighting Temptations, Honey, Sin City and the remake of Sparkle. She had all the major endorsement deals which went to Bey after her passing and she was selling millions of albums without a major WW hit single. One in a Million was listed by several critics and magazines as one the best albums of the 90′s and the first real urban crossover album which led to artists like Beyonce, Ashanti, Ciara and Cassie to create similar sounding albums of their own. The Aaliyah album receieved near universal acclaim from critics who compared Aaliyah to Janet Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston. Aaliyah sold 25 million albums with no Grammys, just one #1 hit and just 2 top 10 singles on the Hot 100. Beyonce has sold 25 million with 13 Grammys, 5 #1′s and over 10 top 10 singles on the Hot 100. If Destiny’s Child didn’t make it big, Beyonce wouldn’t even be here and if Aaliyah hadn’t taken that flight, she be #1 Black female artist in the industry. But anyway, back to Beyonce, I don’t think this will affect her career that much because Beyonce has so much creative control over her albums, singles and videos, so I think she’ll have more control over the business side of her career, butt he music side, nothing will change.
