Rap-Up.com || Lil Wayne Has Not Heard Drake or Nicki Minaj’s Albums

Lil Wayne delivered a shocker to Angie Martinez when he revealed that he hasn’t heard Drake or Nicki Minaj’s platinum-selling albums in full.

“I never heard Drake’s album. I never heard Nicki’s album,” he told the Hot 97 personality. “I swear to God. I work too hard.”

The news may not come as such a surprise to his Young Money protégés. “They would probably guess it. I’m always focused on something and it captures my whole attention, I can’t do nothing else,” he added, making sure not to offend them. “Drake and Nick, don’t take that no kinda way.”

Due to his hectic schedule, the “6 Foot 7 Foot” rapper also hasn’t seen Toya Carter and daughter Reginae’s BET reality show “Toya: A Family Affair” and is not even curious about it. “I let her do her thing,” he said about his ex-wife. “It probably comes on at a time when I’m not at the house.”

However, he has had time to listen to Kanye West and Rick Ross’ latest albums, and his favorite show right now is MTV’s “Jersey Shore.”

@Brionna, but then again if you think about it that cant be true atleast for nicki’s album cause he was in jail the whole time during her recording process and the finalizing of it by the time he came out of jail nicki would have already had to turn in her mastered version of her album to the people and i know they dont have emails in jail …. but this doesnt suprise me cause wayne didnt even know the name of nicki’s album till a fan told him in a letter she said the name of her album in august and he didnt find out the name till october

He didn’t listen to them because, both Drake and Sicki Minaj are getting ROBBED!!!!!! Good for both of them, too cocky and talentless. Nicki album is POP, Drake album was luke warm. I’ve NEVER held Nicki album, heard the songs and never will, NO ORIGINALITY, the whole style is borrowed. Drake on the other hand, has a great rap voice, but the cockiness turns me off. Shame, their own BOSS, dont listen to their music. WOW!!!

Wayne does need to take the time to listen to their albums, cause they are good but not that much ain’t in to pop or cockiness, but they are your artisits and with that comes the resposebilities of being a good label president and reviewing their work.

actually he said on hot 97 that he had not heard the FULL versions of both albums, he said he had the songs emailed to him and he liked them, but he hadn’t been presented with the actual albums.

LOL personally i feel like this is a slap in the face sorta to both drake and nicki considering in this same interview he said that hes heard and that his favorite albums out right now are KANYES AND RICK ROSS’s …i mean kanyes came out the same day as nicki and hes had time to heard that and ross’s came out the same month’s as drake’s and his had time to hear that one . Wayne should just admit it has nothing to do with time its just that he doesnt care or want to hear nicki’s and drake albums .
