Jessie J may have rocketed to stardom but it wasn’t overnight. Six years ago, the British singer-songwriter was a confident, well-behaved teen grinding at a performing arts school and dreaming of being in Kanye West and Jamie Foxx’s “Gold Digger” video.

The “Price Tag” performer worked in a toy store, drawing snowmen and Christmas trees on kids’ nails before penning records for Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown. She indulged in sweets and learned about modeling after watching Tyra Banks on “America’s Next Top Model.”
