New Music: Musiq Soulchild – ‘Yes’
Musiq Soulchild remains faithful on “Yes,” the newest offering from his sixth album MusiqInTheMagiq, due May 3. The neo-soul crooner assures his girl that his love will last the test of time. “When two or three years from now, you start having some doubts about if this love will last, the answer is yes,” sings the perfect gentleman on the tender tune. Who said chivalry was dead?

Classic Musiq song. I wanna see some growth in him as an artist. This is his sixth album and his musiq has not changed at all.

@RONALDMATTERS.COM, I disagree. Did you listen to OnMyRadio? That album was much different, included a lot more elements of hip-hop and mainstream pop. I think he’s going for that again with this album. Even with the first single from this album, it’s produced by Swizz Beatz. Now back in 01 when we were all singing “Love” and “Just Friends”, do you think folks would’ve imagined such a collab? I agree that for a while his sound was getting stale but he switched it up with the last album. Give it another listen…

@Mack of Sound-Savvy, so true, Just cause this song sounds like a song that would have made years ago doesn’t mean his other songs are. the 1st single from this album coming in may is a prime example. VERY different

This IS classic Musiq S. “on My Radio” did have a more hiphop feel but i think hes switchin up again. back R&b now
