New Music: Royce Da 5’9” f/ Eminem – ‘Writer’s Block’

Royce Da 5'9

Royce Da 5’9″ and Eminem fight “Writer’s Block” on the first single off the Slaughterhouse rapper’s fifth studio release Success Is Certain, dropping this spring. Touting an anthemic beat care of StreetRunner & Soram, the tune sees the Detroit spitters uniting to flex their lyrical skills.

“Sometimes I feel like it’s so hard for me to come up with shit to say/ I’m at a loss for words, ’cause y’all erase it all/ I think I’m runnin’ out of clichés, I’m getting writer’s block/ Psych!” raps Marshall on the chorus. Get Shady below.

To Me, Eminem is a Pop Star, Royce is a Rapper, The Mass appeal ain’t gonna Cross over till Royce Decided that Each Word is Worth his Energy, Rap still is Based on Patterns of Word usage, but Eminem, Each Word is Essential Material…. The World gets this, but most Artist don’t…. This is Great Rap..)dk

@dankingkemp, To Me, that might have been one of the dumbest things to ever say. “Eminem is a pop star” yeah and Tiger Woods is more of a basketball player. If making it to the top and killing every emcee in your path is “pop” nowadays thats a damn shame. Rapping is a form of expression through rhythem and rhyming, Eminem is a “RAP” legend (not a opinion, it’s his genre)

@Watzon124, How Can i Respond to You, Pop means “Popular”, Rap is a Genre, Pop means, you can use any medium but not limited by Genre…. I guess You think i’m comparing him to Britney Spears….No How about 2pac or Biggie. Rap can be unmelodic, but Pop has to be Melodic.. Melodic meaning that Your Approach is in Prosody with the Music….. What You will find in Rap, is that Busta, usually has the same approach, most Rappers do, but when Busta Sings, that’s way different, it combines with the Music, in Prosody,, If you think about what i say, it makes sense,,, But really I ain’t fighting with You over this idea…. I’m defending myself for being so immaculately smart..)dk

    you're stupid Reply:

@dankingkemp, No, pop does not always mean popular. Not all music that falls under the genre of Pop is popular, and not all popular music falls under the genre of Pop.

    And stop capitalizing every word.

  13. Next big WHITE MC

MARSHALL MATHERS IS KING MC. but NAS is the best lyricist no doubt. and as far as flow is concerned i thnk Jay-Z has the best cause he rhymes efortlessly but then again most people say Biggie has best flow cause he flows like water over the mic. But nevertheless I think Eminem’s new angry flow is untouchable cause when u listen to him u feel an adrenalin rush all over ur body and that feeling is amazing, also Eminem makes u pay attention 2 his rapping cause he keeps u entertained throughout the whole song…he is never boring…when u listen ur like OMG he spits verses with such energy u feel the music u feel the song all over ur body… cant explain what i feel when i listen 2 slim…its the most amazing feeling in the world…his so aggresive energentic passionate in his songs thats why his the best. However, PAC brings the same emotions 2 his music and he made a phenominal amount of music in his short life and i think were PAC still alive 2day and rapping he would be on the same level as Eminem…maybe even better………..but who knows. Eminem>PAC NAS BIGGIE JAY-Z in my view anyway.
