“American Idol” is about to get a Loud awakening. Rihanna will heat up the stage when she returns to the hit show next week.

Fresh off her “California King Bed” duet with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles at the ACM Awards, the “S&M” singer will perform an unspecified song from her Loud album on Thursday’s results show. This is not her first appearance on the ratings juggernaut, having performed “Rockstar 101” a year ago.

Returning “Idol” champ Kelly Clarkson will also share the bill with the red-haired siren. Past performers on this season include Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Diddy-Dirty Money, and the Black Eyed Peas.

RiRi’s performance will be a warm up for her “LOUD” tour, kicking off June 4 at Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena with opening acts Cee Lo Green and J. Cole.
