Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Joins Britney Spears’ Tour

It’s official. Nicki Minaj will be hitting the road with Britney Spears on her summer tour.

After reports surfaced earlier this month, sources confirm to TMZ that a deal was finalized several days ago. Britney and her team are said to be “elated” with the trek’s new opening act after Enrique Iglesias pulled at the last minute.

Those involved with the negotiations believe the Young Money raptress will create even more buzz for the pop superstar’s tour, which kicks off on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif.

Nicki is currently traveling the country with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Travis Barker on the “I Am Music II” tour, winding down on April 29 in Canada.

Another well played move by Nicki Minaj; this will definitely help establish her name and music with pop fans. Becoming an opening act for a pop icon such as Britney will only help her going forward, especially if she plans on prepping another album soon.

Someone needs to help her bad so that she wont have to traipsy around trying to steal the limelight from Ciara. Opening for Britney? I’m assuming she’ll probably perform her Pop records opposed to her Rap records (ex: “Did It On Em’” & “Roman’s Revenge”) She’ll probably perform some of these records: “Your Love”, “Check It Out”, “Super Bass”, “Moment 4 Life”, and “Right Thru Me”

It’ll definitely be good for her to score some new fans, there’s guaranteed to be a lot of fans there who’ve never really listened to Nicki’s music. Then after the tour she can work on her Sophomore album, release it & score #1 everything and then start on her OWN tour! Sounds like a game plan, lol.
