Mya says goodbye to the problems of yesterday on “Rear View Mirror” featuring Sean Paul, one of the tracks included on her new album K.I.S.S. (Keeping It Sexy & Simple), due in Japan on April 20. On the empowering record, the “Dancing With the Stars” alum looks toward the future by hopping in her whip and driving away from her past life.

“In my rear view mirror I don’t see nothing but smoke/ Everything’s much clearer when I push that metal into the floor/ I’ve got to go,” she sings on the chorus. Hit the road with Mya.

Im upset that mya never blew up shes one of the most talented female artists out there. she should be releasing music in the U.S, not japan smh.

@Will, Trust – Japanese people LOVE American artists/artists from Western countries as much as their own artists. She would do well to release there. They’re faithful fans. And Sean Paul is popular in Japan. I hope she does well.

@Will, I soooooooooooooooo agree with what u said about “Mya” not blowing up here in the U.S.!! She should have!! It totaly sucks when a great singer & great artist don’t become as popular here in the U.S. as they do in another country!! “Mya” did awesome when she 1st came out but, then it died down!! & that sucked!! It’s sad that these really bad, no talent, dumb females that call them selfs singers r garbage!! 4 real!! I wish they would just go sit some where & shut up!! & let “All” the “Real Artist” shine!! That’s how it should be but, it’s not!! & that really sucks that it’s not!!!! :( :( Well, maybe someday it will all change!! Gotta have “Hope”!! lol :) Right?? :) :)

It makes me so upset thinking that after the disaster that was “Liberation” in 2007, Mya has already released 2 new albums that are ONLY available in Japan. To this day I still think Mya has potential to be as big as some of the other divas that are out now. She was never a gimmick IMO. Her personality was sweet but real, and her stage delivery was always top notch. I wonder if she will ever be able to break into the U.S. market again with her music. So sad…

@Kyle, I feel the same way, Mya has always had a voice, may not have been as heavy as some other singers out here but every time I saw her she always seemed to want to perfect her voice, her dancing, and her music. You don’t see a lot of these “celebs” out here no matter how big they are always working on honing their craft. I respect Mya and I wish her all the best. And I’m definitely going to look into finding her songs

That would be cool if she released this in the U.S. but I won’t hold my breath. The last time I did that was with “Liberation” and that got pushed back probably 3,726 times. I remember going on the computer everyday and there would be a new release date announced.
