One year after her first appearance, Rihanna returned to “American Idol” to perform “California King Bed,” the latest single from her album Loud. RiRi was originally planning to sing her chart-topper “S&M,” but decided to tone it down for the show’s family-friendly audience. She kept her word, keeping it classy in a floor-length gown and curly red hair as she commanded the stage.

I don’t understand why their is an argument needed with and artist that have 9 #1 have sold out 9 o2 arenas and continue to give amazing shows…If they can’t see for the hate in their eyes it is their loss and their problem.

I watched the performance and she sounded okay. nothing to stand up for. I was surprise to see her have on clothes though but then it is AI so she had to cover up. I think with so many negative comments being posted everywhere about her singing they must have brought in a voice coach especially after some white girl outsang you on your own song. With so much negative feed back on her nasty stage act and voice I think they decided the public was turning against her and changed tactics. I hope she improves on her stage presence and keep the voice coach because she still in need of it.
