Lupe Fiasco tackles the world’s issues by vocalizing his thoughts in the controversial video for “Words I Never Said,” the second single from Lasers featuring Skylar Grey. Directed by Sanaa Hamri, the dramatic clip shows the Chi-town rapper dealing with the injustice of serving time in prison, all while images of war and political conventions flash across the screen.

“It was more so me being this liberator, undercover agent who was sneaking into this prison to kinda rescue one of my comrades from the clutches of the evil people,” he told Rap-Up TV. “There’s fight scenes and a whole lotta action. It’s very aggressive, but at the end I get the girl, so that’s all that counts.”
