« Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Pharrell, & Solange Attend 5th Annual DKMS GalaNick Cannon ‘Nervous’ About Twins’ Birth »Soulja Boy Weighs Cash Money Deal![]() Could Soulja Boy be the next Cash Money Millionaire? The “Crank That” rapper is considering a move to the famed hip-hop label after being approached by Birdman.
During a recent trip to Miami to record with Sean Kingston, the 20-year-old met with the Cash Money boss about joining the YMCMB family along with Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. “I met with Baby and Slim down in Miami,” he tells Rap-Up.com. “He’s trying to get me to come over to Cash Money.” But the move wouldn’t likely happen anytime soon as he is contractually obligated to his current label for two more albums. “I still got paperwork with Interscope Records, so I’m just trying to figure out what I’ma do. I got a lot of great options on the table,” he adds. “I’ve been a fan of Cash Money since I was young. I’ve been listening to Birdman’s music since I was growing up. I would have never thought.” Soulja Boy, who is currently filming a remake of Tupac’s Juice, is seriously weighing the option. “I’m taking it into consideration. Birdman, we really had a good talk when we met. But I’m still young. I’m only 20 years old. So after I do these two albums, I either have the choice to go back to Interscope and re-up, do my contract over, or I can go down to Miami with Cash Money.” Do you think Soulja Boy should sign to Cash Money? Cash Money is being water down with all these signings
DJ Khaled, T-Pain, already Got Bow Wow still got a GANG of Young Money artists who will never see a album drop on the level of Drake & Nicki so I don’t know I don’t care for Soulja any way but if he think he can be more sucessfull with YMCMB then more power to him

it’ll prob be good for him. people always say ymcmb artists don’t drop albums, but thats down to them to make music not Birdman or Slim. whenever you watch a birdman interview he sounds as if he encourages them 24/7 to put out music. plus drake nicki tyga jae millz and lil twist are the only artists who are actually signed to young money. tyga made that clear in an interview last year. hmm the ymcmb hype might do him some good

There are too many people on young money, and cash money is starting to have too many people. i respect omarion more for not signing with young money because he basically called it. all of these artists are being told when and when not. a boss doesnt let people tell them when and when not. soulja boy is not talented in the rapping department. period. but he’s talented else where, slightly lol. too much going on to focus on one artist. sign any body… thats the gimmick between ym and cm, clearly.
