Nick Cannon made his first televised appearance since becoming a father on “Lopez Tonight.” The comedian, who was there to promote his Showtime special and album Mr. Showbiz, shared why he named his twins Monroe and Moroccan, getting lost in the hospital and ending up in the psych ward, and how the experience changed him.

“I just have a great, great respect for women now that I saw what they have to go through,” said Nick, who almost passed out three times in the delivery room.

As for his wife, she was hitting high notes even during labor. “She was cussing in high octaves,” he joked. “I never heard so many cuss words so high.”

During their hospital visit, the couple “blazed” Mariah’s music, along with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and even Jay-Z. The new mom and “dem babies” are expected to go home this week.
