Keyshia Cole is having a rough week. After being shut out of the nominations for the 2011 BET Awards, the singer and Lil’ Kim denounced their friendship in front of their Twitter followers.

“N while we’re addressing everything, Lil Kim and I a r not ‘friends’ I take that term very seriously. We made wonderful music. That is it,” tweeted Keyshia, who collaborated with Kim on her hit single “Let It Go.”

But the Queen Bee stung back with a series of fiery tweets. Read a selection below.

U got that right. We are not friends. The same way U take friendship seriously i take loyalty serious.

The whole world has seen me extend my hand to u over and over again.

Only someone who’s trying to build a sincere relationship does shows 4 free & supports. u did not pay me a dime 4 none of that.
That warrants some type of loyalty and respect.

Friend or no friend i would have never let anybody disrespect u on my record but i can’t expect everyone to be as real as i am.

While I’m a huge fan of both artists (more of a fan for Keyshia) Keyshia was wrong in this by starting the mess but we can’t say that Lil Kim is perfectly innocent neither because she responded in a way she didn’t have to she could’ve said “U kno what thanks 4 shoin ur true colors kno better next tim” and ended it but she wanted the last word. It’s wrong on BOTH their parts. 1. Keyshia KNEW that the record with Nicki Minaj was diss record towards Lil Kim, and knowing that she did collaborate with her in the past looked real stupid that she would do something like that Lil Kim. 2. Lil Kim should have never started this beef thing with Nicki Minaj because she got a lil jealous when Nicki starting getting national attention. Now, that she’s started it, it’s hard for the beef to end, because there’s always going to be a competition. and 3. Both Kim and Keyshia should never have went on Twitter with the problems because you’re just giving the haters something to laugh at. Call the girl up and talk like adults.
