Lady Gaga Returns to BET’s ‘106 & Park’

Terrence, Lady Gaga, and Rocsi

Lady Gaga has been making the rounds to promote her hot-selling album Born This Way. After chatting with the ladies of “The View” on Monday, Gaga stopped by BET’s “106 & Park” for her second appearance, airing today. Host Terrence J helped the reigning pop queen as she walked out in sky-high platform heels and a Renaissance-inspired dress. She sat down for an interview with Terrence and Rocsi while her Little Monsters and mother Cynthia Germanotta looked on.

Born This Way is pulling in big numbers at retail. HITS Daily Double estimates sales of 900,000 in its first week, which could increase with her appearance on the “American Idol” finale tonight.

@Lisa, that’s the exact reason she should be on to break the close-mindedness from people like you! Her dancers and friends and the people she has collaborated with are of color, black, Asian, etc. Her choreographer LaurieAnn Gibson, and that tour with Kanye (which I still mourn over) for instance!

Even in her lyric: “No matter black, white, or beige, chola or orient-made. I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way!”

So I think by passing that comment really reflects how closed-minded you are. What you should focus on is her being a strong independent out-spoken female in a male-dominated business!

@Lisa, are u a racist? just because Gaga isn’t black she can’t be on BET ? Don’t be judgmental. You should not judge people, especially not judge a person of their skin colour. THIS is also what Gaga talks about. She does not want people to judge others. In the Born This Way video Lady Gaga gives birth to a non prejudiced race. Wouldn’t it be great if we all could live in peace and don’t judge someone by their looks?

This is the same show that didn’t feature Rihanna’s music off of her second album till the end of promoting it because it was too “Pop.”

900 000 copies sold first week? WTF! I don’t understand, everybody seemed to hate the new songs…

but calm down little monsters, it is just the second album ! everybody thinks it’s gonna be the part 2 of THE FAME that’s why they are curious.

Let’s see where she is in 5 years….She will never be a legend to me, just a weirdo.

and she does all the shows that are possible to promote the album…
So thank u the medias for the crap music. She do needs you to sell something even it is BAD!

Damn she tries so hard to be original that’s annoying…and not the attitude of a real diva (mariah, beyonce, alicia…)

@Lisa the fact that you say she does’nt represent the black community at all is ignorant. She goes out of her way to stand up for every kind of people out here… please stop the ignorance, becaus im pretty sure you do nothing for the black community.

  13. chunel

@keeingitrealz I never say anything about the black people in my message o_0

All I say is that she is so overrated. She was original at first, now just controversial. Her outfits are getting worser and worser and without that she would be nothing.
Remember she needed to take her clothes off in a bar so that people pay attention to her ! God who does that ? ! just a desperate woman I think.

That’s why I said that we need to wait 4 or 5 years to see where she will be.

2 albums are not enough to put her on the same level that any other artists like Bee and Co

I feel like this album has less urban influences than both her previous releases and yet she still lands a spot on 106 & Park. GOOD FOR HER. I think she is influential to all different races.

    [Reply]

  20. Um.Well.Sure.

This shouldn’t even come down to race, it should come down to the music. I like Lady GaGa, I do, but when did 106 & Park start having full fledged pop artist come on? I thought it was mainly all about R&B and Hip-Hop? There is NOTHING about her that even suggest she’either of those. Times have changed I guess…

Love her and her music i think she just getting out of hand with the outfits its okay to show something different but i enjoy the art work and all but its starting to just get plain annoying and ridiculous with all these outfits some of the stuff i like but some of it is just plain ugly ! ! ! and congrats girl sale that 900.000 but truthfully i think it was because of that 99c shit but o well lol she did what she had to do and i kind of agree with one comment someone said shes not a weirdo though just extremely artistic and different and her messages in her song are deep i suppose even though I never can understand a damn song form her well sometimes its not that hard lol ugh i agree that in years from now she will have a creativity overload she might do to much and it may mess her up i already feel like she put too much of her talent in one record already but in my opinion she wouldn’t be that popular if it wsn’t for her crazy styles that bring hella attention shes a pretty girl though and her music videos witch i love too. lthough not digging too much of the videos now from gaga but yeah shes already in my opinion get a lil over head of her self with too much going on i dont like the idea of releasing a new song ever week like she did it just irritated me and makes me feel like the artist is hungry for attention i like to be anxious and begging for more or to the point where im teased to death lol but to me it just made her as bad as beyonce when she gets publicity too much you kind of get irritated. and i believe theres no crown taken sorry beyonce will always be the queen gaga can be the princess because gaga songs are great but i really think her videos sale her or just in general her look and all that her dancing is pretty simple and easy live especially when i watch her do judas i got bored quick and usually she has some type of flashing outfir or waky set up witch gives more excitement both women are slaying in my opinion in this music industry as of now and both are extremely talented but gaga being a lil extra more then bey both can sing really good live but at the end of the day i would rather seee beyonce her energy is just out of this world when you see her live but im all for both girls teamBEYGAGA i dont hate any one of em i just enjoy the shit like we all should comments here in there but hell just enjoy it stop getting so mad

I loved Lady Gaga at first but now it is just too much.
I also think she is the queen………of the outfits.

Concerning the dance, the lyrics, the beats, etc, sorry but other artists are way better than her.

And seriously this is just an opinion, everybody on this website get mad as soon as someone tells something bad about an artist they love! Ciara, Rihanna, Beyoncé, everytime it’s the war between fans and not fans! we can’t say nothing unless we put those artists on a pedestal !
I really like Mariah, everytime here she is criticized and I don’t insult everyone for that !
    CALM DOWN PEOPLE!

@Boywonder, Some facts: Amazon funded that deal at their own loss as a means of promoting their new Cloud Drive service (buy any album and get 20GB for a year). And clearly they underestimated the response, because only a couple hours after the email alert went out their servers stalled.
