Lil Wayne shows a softer side on the mushy “How to Love,” the newest single from Tha Carter IV. A far cry from “6 Foot 7 Foot” and “John,” Weezy offers encouragement to an insecure girl who’s been hurt by love. “See you had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart/ Never really had luck, couldn’t never figure out how to love,” sings the sentimental rapper on the guitar-laced Detail production. Listen to him bare his heart.
i like. i can imagine the hook getting on my nerves. i like the tiny bit of auto tune @2.49. but the rest sounds raw. he sounds really vulnerable on it.
This sh-t is hot.. not for the simple boxed in minded people..Wayne is a rap pioneer like it or not..maybe if this was whacka flacka inspired then you belligerent creeps would like it..#CARTERIV
I love it, it’s different for Wayne, but the fact that its different than the ordinary makes it more appealing. Glad his stuff doesn’t sound monotonous like Rick Ross and Lex Luger’s songs.
the way the game is set now all that hard sh.t an,t cutting it,i like how he is mixing it up a hard single and a soft one,i actually like this song he did good for a none full singer, and the guitar playing came in great,he can acoustic this song right her easily,i picture alot of acoustic players on Utube covering this and uploading it.
This is something different. I love this song, because Weezy got that smooth song in an album, while other rappers prefer that Lex Luger beats. And I think you can’t compare it to Lollipop…

I didn’t like it at first, but I’ve been listening to it on repeat for the last hour. LOL
