Female rivalries may dominate the headlines (ask Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj), but it’s refreshing when one strong woman can recognize another. Ciara proves that women can get along and still be successful. During her trip to South Africa, the “Ride” singer shared her admiration for her contemporary Beyoncé.

“I love and have a lot of respect for Beyoncé,” said CiCi. “I just really, really support her for just whatever she does. From my perspective, she’s a hard worker and she has done so many great things over the years and has really, really earned [her place].”

She continued bestowing praise upon B, adding, “From my perspective it’s really cool to see a woman doing it so big and so well.” Now that’s something we can applaud.
