Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Plans to Pursue Acting, Wants to Work with Will Smith

Now that’s she’s conquered music, Nicki Minaj has set her sights on Hollywood. The head Barb has expressed plans to pursue acting and has one big-time actor on her wish list of co-stars.

“I went to school to be an actress. I never expected to be a rapper. It just fell in my lap,” Nicki told Entertainment Weekly at the MTV Movie Awards. “So I would like to get an acting gig. I hope that when I am done with the tour I can go back and do some acting. That is my long-term goal.”

And just who would she like to work with? “Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper turned actor and therefore a role model,” she explained. “And [Alice in Wonderland director] Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”

Before she hits the big screen, the “Super Bass” rapper is polishing her set for Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale” tour. “I want to go all out and make it over the top and theatrical. There will be costume changes and hair changes. Lots of sexy outfits and dancing,” she said. “I don’t know how to do things normal and boring. Why? People pay good money for concert tickets these days.”

Of course she would her whole persona is a character.. She said herself that she acting like a rapper and that acting Is her first love plus she went to school for acting and I bet she would be perfect in a tim Burton movie I just dont want her first movie to be a black people movie

God safe us all. From the little acting that I’ve seen her doing in the music video for “Right Thru Me” she’s not even close to an actual actress. And Will Smith? I like Nicki Minaj, but for someone who went to a school to learn how to act she just flat-out sucks. I’d love for her to prove me wrong, though. So if she really wants to, she needs to go for it.

If you can’t handle other people having a different outlook on things then don’t read the comments. What are you worried about? We already know the majority would go and see Nicki Minaj. And like I said; I’d love for her to prove me wrong. But since you guys never see the full picture, just the negative things y’all go off for no reason. Learn how to accept that not everyone is going to like the same person and things that you like. I wasn’t bashing Nicki Minaj, I was just saying that she doesn’t come across to me as a good actress. Okay, first I like Will Smith & Tim Burton as filmmaker/storyteller. Why would Nicki want to play another character, that’s your whole act anyway? I can’t wait to see what film she going to do, because I don’t see her playing a normal characters. A person with split-personalities, a serial killer, right on, she known to be wacky, I don’t see her as Queen Latifah, Halle Berry type kind of actors.
Nicki, wither the crazy voices, I see her during animation.
