A studious Jay-Z joined his industry peers at the UJA-Federation of New York’s Music Visionary of the Year Awards luncheon at The Pierre hotel in New York City. Mr. Carter talked shop with “American Idol’s” Randy Jackson, while his fellow mogul Diddy was on hand to honor EMI Music Publishing’s Jon Platt. The Bad Boy CEO will be presented with the Founders Award at ASCAP’s 24th Annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards next week in L.A.
